To-Do List

Your to-do list for today consists of three items:
The House has already voted to renew fourteen of the sixteen provisions of the PATRIOT Act permanently, and the remaining two for a ten-year window. The Senate Judiciary Committee has unanimously approved a version of the bill, sponsored by Sens. Feinstein (D-CA) and Specter (R-PA), that is only marginally better. Read up, phone in, and make your opinions known before the bill goes to the Senate floor.

If Congress renews or expands Section 215, as they seem intent on doing, you can kiss the 4th Amendment good-bye . . . What two World Wars and a Civil War could not accomplish, al-Qaeda and the cowardly leadership of George Bush will.
