WWMD (What Would Mapplethorpe Do?)

The gropinator's dilemma:
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger must decide whether to sign a bill sent to him by the state's Democrat-controlled legislature that would legalize gay marriages in the most populous U.S. state.

The state Assembly approved the bill last night in a 41-to-35 vote, becoming the first state legislature in the U.S. to do so. The Senate passed the measure last week. Schwarzenegger has said he doesn't think lawmakers should make that decision because voters passed a measure in 2000 that defines marriage as between a man a woman.
