The Odd Couple -- as You've Never Seen It Before! 

Since O.J.'s Fox gig appears to have fallen through --
Rupert Murdoch, chairman of News Corp., took the unusual step of issuing a public apology for scheduling the book and TV special, after the company unleashed a firestorm of criticism over the project . . . .

Simpson's book, "If I Did It, Here's How It Happened," was scheduled to be released at the end of this month to coincide with his television interview with his publisher Judith Regan, whose ReganBooks is an imprint of News Corp.'s HarperCollins Publishers. The interview -- which Regan said she regarded as his confession to the killings -- was scheduled to run in two parts on Fox stations on Nov. 27 and 29, with the book's release due Nov. 30.
-- we were thinking maybe he should take his show on the road. Smaller venues. Maybe dinner theatres -- you know. In the heartland, where Juice's name still means something.

In fact, we know just the guy to play Mark Fuhrman.
